Who would have thunk that something as simple as taking a shower would be so much work!!! i so cant wait for my lap band and help with losing weight so something like a shower wont tucker me out!!!

I only heard about people getting tired easy by walking, talking, bathing i never thought i would be that person..Thank God for the invention of the lap band because i just cant do it on my own....

Oh my! Didn't even realize it until I started losing my weight!

Life is SO much easier, and I still have a far way to go.

Walking, going up and down stairs, fitting in chairs, reacing places I haven't in a while - it is all so much easier and better!

Good Luck - this is one of the best decision I ever made in my life:smile2:

I had no comorbidities when I got banded, but it was fear of becoming a person who was that out of shape that made me get banded.

I'd gotten to 36 and I was having a nana nap in the afternoons for pete's sake. It really scared me, thinking what my life was going to be like in another 10 years.

Not to mention how invisible you become in your 40's when you become just another matronly dowdy overweight mother/worker/wife/general dogsbody who nobody views as an attractive sexual being anymore. That thought scared the living daylights out of me. I'm way too addicted to the limelight to let that happen, lol.

I certainly dont feel that way now.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
