I am sure it is fine with those numbers but make sure you take a Multivitamin, Another one that is yummy to the max is Whey Gourmet Cookies and Cream. I get mine off the internet and enjoy the heck out of it. For more complete nutrition a Ready to Drink (RTD) from Walmart, etc, is the Atkins line or Myoplex. These RTD's have Vitamins and minerals. And if you like Slimfast, they aren't too bad either.

There are lots of options available for you and if you use the search function you will see many threads about ppl's recommendations.

Best wishes,

Mimi

What multi-Vitamin does everyone take? How do you take it post-band?

i was advised to take a chewable vitamin... i just found some gummies at target for adults so i'm gonna start taking them.

my nutritionist is adamantly against the gummies! they don't contain Iron and that's important!! She says plain old children's chewables are the best. She won't even give the gummies to her kids b/c of the lack of Iron.< /p>

I just found chewable Calcium citrate at GNC and they're not too gross! So I'm taking chewable flintstones (2 a day...) and chewable Calcium along with B12 (because I was low in my bloodwork).

Watch those gummies cause with restircition they may stick. For now they are fine, but after you finish that bottle go to a Centrum complete chewable or even flintstones complete. They dissolve fully so you won't have any stuck.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
