So I'm very confused!!! If I reduce my calories by too much, I gain weight! If I add too many calories, I gain weight!!!

I don't understand how some people can take in 800-1000 calories per day and lose weight and I can't. I'm satisfied on that many calories, so I just don't get why my body won't lose weight there. If I stick to 800-1000 calories or even a little more, for a while, will I eventually start losing?

Has anybody experienced what I'm experiencing?

You actually need between 1000 and 1200 calories to lose weight. You won't lose weight at 800-1000 because your body is going into starvation mode. It's like what malnourished children in 3rd world countries experience.

1000-1200 calories plus an exercise routine.....another thing could be that you're in a stall, which is perfectly normal and it happens to almost everyone.....

So if I stick to 1000-1200 calories, which I'm close to, usually about 1300. And I continue or increase my exercise, it should pick up?

Keep in mind everyone's metabolism is different and some might lose at 800, some might lose at 1200, some might lose at 1500...the more active you are and the longer you stick with it the better your metabolism is, so that definitely helps but it varies a LOT from person to person. Good luck!

I am preband. While my weight loss has been pretty good; I did have a about a month (my journey has been longer than some) where the scale was'nt really moving. I did however notice that button up shirts that were tight before now fit/were to big. You might want to take some basic measurements check them every week. You could be gaining muscle and loosing fat.
