mbranham0306 0 Posted August 5, 2010 Hello, I have a question. I had surgery over a year ago and am having so much trouble finding a bra that fits!!! It is soooo frustrating. Before my surgery I was a D cup....now I'm an A cup....that is my problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Is anyone else having this problem??? Dikotomy 0 Posted August 6, 2010 Hi Missy - I only had my surgery 3 weeks ago so am not yet at that point, but a number of years ago I lost 100 pounds on my own (regained it all, of course) and remember going from a D to a B cup. I was actually delighted because I hated having large boobs, and I did have to buy all new bras (but at least they were the cute lacy type, instead of body armor LOL). My advice is to treat yourself and go to a specialty store where they can fit you, such as a Lady Grace. You'll pay more for the bras but at least you'll get one that fits and feels right. You're worth it! Good luck!
ThinAli 0 Posted August 6, 2010 Aren't you lucky!!! I would love to loose some of my bulk but it hasn't happened! I have shrunk to a 36 around and I have lost nearly nothing in the actual breast my cup has actually gotten larger.(according to how the bra specialist measure you) I would suggest going somewhere like Victorias secret and get a nice bra as well and they can hook you up with a variety of sizes as well as Water bras. They have several different types of padded bras. Until you can have surgery to add some size to them....if you so desire!
sld21 26 Posted August 6, 2010 WOW...a D cup to an A cup...that is a big difference...(and I thought mine were deflating) I have lost 60lbs but just still dealing with the old bras though they are really loose in the cup(I can always tighten them up) I had went to the flea market last time they were in town and got some dirt cheap ones that were too tight but went to the fabric store and bought bra extenders for like $2 to help loosen the tightness and that seems to help. I figure when I get down this last 40 or so then I will go to a department store and get measured properly and invest in a $50 bra.
gigi0504 0 Posted August 6, 2010 That was the first thing to go with me! The girls! I was a 42DDD and I am down to a 42dd in about a month and a half. And ALREADY I think I should move down to a 40DD because I am on the inside hooks of the 42dd and the straps are getting loose. More money.... but so worth it!~ Congrats on your weight loss! MoniqueD 8 Posted August 7, 2010 (edited) Hey ladies. Unfortunately my cup size hasn't changed. I would love to be a C cup. I was a 42DDD and now I'm a 38DDD. I have 26.2lbs to go and don't think I'll lose the boobs!!! My husband will be happy though!!! Edited August 7, 2010 by MoniqueD
adagray 1 Posted August 7, 2010 My experience has been that you just have to try on a bunch until you find one that fits right and does its job. I've already changed sizes twice, but both times it was the band size going down, not the cup. Are you sure you have really gone that much down in the cup? I would recommend playing around w/going up in the cup and down in the band to see if you can get a better fit. Your bra should be really snug underneath your boobs and come down low in the back (so as not to create 'back fat'). I don't recommend getting fitted unless you know the person doing the fitting is really experienced. I have gotten horrible fitting advice at Victoria Secret before, but the fitter looked like she was barely out of high school.
