Wimic 1 Posted August 5, 2010 I had a telephone consultation yesterday with my surgeon at the Surgical Weight Loss Center in Ontario and made an appointment to have my lapband surgery on August 25. I'm terrified and excited and nervous and anxious all at the same time. I start my liquid diet next Wednesday (Aug 11) and am planning one last hoorah with my fiance Monday night... we're going out to our favorite restaurant because it's the last time I'll be able to go there and eat what I want to. I feel like I'm saying goodbye to my best friend. Does anyone else feel like this? Don't get me wrong - I'm extremely happy and excited to be having the procedure done, but it's such a drastic change and I know it will be difficult until I adjust the way I think. Morgan from OR 0 Posted August 5, 2010 Congrats on moving forward in your journey! ... and yes, the band does change everything - but that isn't a bad thing!
jkangasrdh 0 Posted August 6, 2010 My date is Aug. 26 and I start my pre-op diet the 11th too! I have been eating the most unhealthy meals. I just finished the last of my grams heart attack mac n' cheese. My mom is making me my last supper on Sunday night. I feel like my fav foods and I are breaking up after a long relationship. Moving on to better things! Good luck with the pre-op diet! I have 2 weeks of Opti-fast...oooh boy.
thebandedgirl 0 Posted August 6, 2010 Congratulations on getting your date set! Try not to have too much of that "last supper" mentality, though. You might be surprised at what you can eat (in moderation) after you're banded
