Hello Froggie, Doing good. I had fill #4 Friday. The doc informed me i am no longer Morbidly obese! Yea! 50lbs down since January but more importantly I am starting to see glimpses of my old self. The confidence that had left is slowly returning. I am alot more active and my kids really appreciate it.

I have a total of 6.1 cc's and feel a bit restricted, which by the way SUCKS! I hate eating with the family and abrouptly having to stop in the middle of an awesome meal. I guess that is what got me to where I am in the first place.

Some measurements, 6 inches lost around my waist and 3 inches lost around my neck, down 2 pant sizes and 1 shirt size. Lets hear from some of the others. If you need some help then we are here for you, if you can lend a hand to one of us then lets be that rock!!!!!

Wonderful to hear from you!!!! I get fill #4 tomorrow. I only have 3cc in my band so far, but have some fair restriction.

I have lost 58.8 pounds so far and have gone from a 2x to a 14 in pants and an extra large in tops.

I have lost 5.5 inches off my waist and 6 inches off my hips.

I am off my diabetes medicine and cut back on my blood pressure meds.

I am exercising at the gym and working with a trainer 2-3 times per weeks.

I love my band!

I'm still here - down 40+ pounds and loving my band! It still has a lot to teach me, but I am so thankful that I decided to take this big step and have my surgery.

Still kicking.. Fill stats are below. I'm at 4 cc's and have restriction... am struggling as always with food but thats a demon we all have to battle constantly. I'm working on getting my tail into the gym and start an organized exercize schedule, but that too is a struggle for me.

Anything worth doing though is always a struggle and worth it in the end.

NSV was that I squeezed into a size 14 dress! Not ready yet to wear it in public but Im hoping so by the end of August!

Hugs,

Heather

Hey guys, I am a late April B.B. I had my 4th fill last wed. Wow do I have restriction now! I have 9 cc in 14 band. I strarted at 250 and this morning I weighed 212. i love my band but hate the loose skin! I am losing weight wierd. The botttom of my stomach (below the belly button) is smaller than the top, causing serious muffin top when I sit down:mad2:

I have not been able to exercise much due to a painful B.R. 2 months ago. I am still not healed from that. The band has been the best decision I have made in years!!!! Congrats to all of us and wishing much more success:thumbup:

Hello all!!! I'm still here also (just not as often). I've lost 60 lbs as of today and went from a size 22 to a 12

I walk 4-5 miles at least 3-4 days/week and take a weight training class 2-3 times a week. At least I try to do these things.....it really has helped with all around toning.

I've only had 2 fills and my doc doesn't tell me how much he puts in there, so I have no idea. He told me that's not important.....it's judged by how I feel. I have my 3rd fill next week, but I might not get it .....I feel pretty good.

I have never vomited and only felt a little stuck about 4 times that didn't last very long. I have fallen off the wagon quite a few times....White wine, pizza, ice cream - things that I really shouldn't be eating/drinking - BUT - I can only eat a little bit of it which is GREAT!! (except the wine.....that always goes down smoothly)

I am SO happy with my decision to get this band!!!!

Wow, sounds like everyone is doing great! It is so great to hear from you all.

By the way Beachcitygirl, in the last few weeks I have lost more weight in my lower stomach also and my upper stomach is sticking out further than the lower. Really weird.

Anyone have an explaination for that phenomenon?

WOW---congrats to all!! I actually have two questions...

1) if everyone on the boards seem to say that expections need to be realistic and an average weight lossis 1-2 per week.....How are the April Bunnies losing WAYYYYY more than the normal?

2) how are the exercises going...I know that we're all doing them, but is anyone in a exercise routine? Its so hot all I can do is do laps, Water resistance, and tred Water in the pool. (total time is 30-40 min)

Again, congrats to my fellow bunnies,

Kristina:thumbup:

I'm still here and doing well. My weight is coming off slowly compared to many of the rest of you, but I'm still averaging around 1.7lbs per week! Way better than I ever did by myself!

Hello everyone. I was banded April 15. Currently I have had two fills, with my last one being 7/19. So far I have lost 52 pounds. The progress is moving along slowly but I'm making progress. I definitely exercise everyday for one hour. Still haven't reach good restriction yet, however I trying to make the best of my band until I reach my sweet spot.:blushing:

Hi. I was banded on 4/8. I've had one 2 cc fill and it seems to be working out for me. I've gone from a size 22 to a size 16, and have been working out 5-6x/week.

I can't see much difference in my energy level, but other people have commented that I seem to have more.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
