jmunks2000 8 Posted August 1, 2010 You brought back memories with this post. I remember starving on the pre and post op diets and I wanted something full of chloresterol (hope I spelled it correctly) and calories. I went to Red Lobster. I ordered salad with the crab/crawfish stuffed Flounder w/ mashed potatoes and broccoli. I passed on a beverage and the biscuits. I thought I would have dessert too but I was unable to finish my meal. Happy planning!
Laylas grandma 2 Posted August 1, 2010 You will find when get the ok to eat that there will be some things you could eat in the past that you just cant tolerate now. So take it slow and I would suggest trying new foods at home before you try them in a resteraunt. Nothing like heaving up this foamy nasty stuff in the middle of a room full of people who are trying to enjoy their meal. So far I have found that I can not tolerate chicken, peaches, lemons or anything breaded and fried. I have also found that I can tolerate all baked or broiled seafood and tossed salad... go figure. This is definitely a journey but with great rewards in the end so have fun... BetsyB 9 Posted August 1, 2010 I have no idea! I don't remember. It was protein---I can tell you that. But that's because Protein was the basis for my postop diet. No idea what it was. I did spend lots of time thinking about it beforehand, but ...well, clearly, food begins to take a different significance farther down the road!
