legallyblonde2 0 Posted December 4, 2005 I am having this weird cough often. Or should I call it the urge to cough. I am deathly afraid of thinking my band has slipped or something worse. I have no change in my restriction. It is about perfect. Started having MINOR reflux type symptoms along with this cough. Nothing compared to the MAJOR reflux I had before I had a small unfill. Anyone else have this cough? Got any ideas? P.S I am just recovering from a wicked 3 week cold/flu thing. But this cough feels lke I need to clear spit from the back of my throat. P.S.S Here is a weird question......I dont have health insurance here in the states and was wondering if I could have a pap and general physical down in T.J? Also need to see a dermatologist. Just wondering. Thanks, Christine Banded November 19, 2004 lost 47 lbs. so far Dr. Lopez Corvala
Tropicana 0 Posted December 4, 2005 A persistent cough could be a myriad of things completely unrelated to your band. For instance, you could have "walking pneumonia." If it is really bothering you, I would call a family practioner to listen to your lungs and run some tests. You can see a doctor where ever you want. But most insurances will not cover doctors out of their network and Mexico is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay out of anybody's network.
DeLarla 22 Posted December 4, 2005 It might be acid reflux. I have the same problem, and I'm always choking on a flem stuck in my throat and coughing. It's a pretty common symptom with acid reflux. Are you eating too soon before bed? Because that's what my problem still is. I eat too late, then the acids wash back up to my throat when I lay down. Prevacid or other antacids might help.
