JiggleButt 0 Posted July 27, 2010 I have noticed that not all ports are placed in the same location. In addition I have read mention of "knowing you have port placement options" but no further information. I would love some info on options and location pros and cons. MySkinnyDream 8 Posted July 27, 2010 A suggestion that might be helpful for future bandsters.... my surgeon asked me to draw with a marker on my tummy where my pants and bra sit on the day of surgery. Many people complain if their pants waistband rubs where their port is, that it is quite uncomfortable. Also, if you wear an underwire bra, you don't want it putting pressure on your port either. This way he would know where NOT to put the port... very thoughtful!
MrsShannonDennis 10 Posted July 27, 2010 I know my surgeon offers a flatter port to put in. He said its only a little thinner but my port sticks out so bad and hurts to lay on my stomach. Its an easy surgery where they just open the port scar and unplug the port, put the new one in, sew it into place, and all done!
