GrizGirl 0 Posted December 2, 2005 Hi everybody. I was wondering if anyone can relate. I am one of those who went through the buffet line twice when they were passing out boobies. Some of the poundage I've lost has come out of the boobs. They are getting longer by the day. The thing is, they, along with my tummy itch like crazy. This has been going on for about a month +. I actually went to the Doctor about it and went through the whole drill about whether or not I'm using (soap/detergent) or eating anything different--I'm not. Anybody else had anything similar? Jachut 487 Posted December 2, 2005 Oh dear, boobs getting longer than the day? You paint such an encouraging picture, lol. My guess would be that it would be exactly like being pregnant, when your skin on your boobs and belly itches like a fiend from the stretching, it's probably doing the same thing on the way down. Do you guys have Pinetarsal over there? Its a pine tar bath prep that really helps with itching, but no doubt if you dont there'll be a million other things that are similar. And lots of moisturising.
Magic 0 Posted December 2, 2005 sallykotz, I'm very sorry to hear your sufferings. But your post, raised a question in my mind, do people really get unexplained pain/aches after getting the band? Some say their legs hurt and so on, so does it have anything to do with the band? or its just has nothing to do with the band. Thanks and best of luck:)
Guest ASPHALT ANGEL Posted December 2, 2005 I must have been right behind you in the buffet line. I look seconds aslo...lol I went through the itching for about 2 weeks, thought I was going to scratch the twins right off my chest. I figured it was from losing weight. It finally went away but I used alot of moisturizing lotion to help it stop itching. hope this helps.
momof4 0 Posted December 2, 2005 I itch on my tummy, legs, and sometimes boobies from time to time. Usually, I just take a benadryl every night before bedtime (it makes you sleepy) for a few days and it goes away. You might be able to try a benadryl cream during the day, but I found that if I scratched, then I itched more!!! Good luck!!! Tricia
banded_for_life 2 Posted December 2, 2005 I had the same issue...the fill dr thought for one second that I had shingles, but it was just a little unexplained rash that finally went away...took about 2 or 3 weeks to do so. Right up under my left one.

Dianechef 3 Posted December 2, 2005 Thank you for posting this!! I had the EXACT same problem & I thought it was just me!! I also have large boobs & they started itching. I thought I was going crazy & couldn't figure it out. I had a friend who told me it was from the weight loss & that my skin reacted to it. Will our boobs ever look normal again after weight loss?!? It's a little scary to look at them!!!!
NJChick 3 Posted December 3, 2005 My skin all over got so dry since I've been eating much less. If I rub my face it looks like its snowing, ick. Moistureizer is the only thing I can think of and fish oil (omega 3).
GrizGirl 0 Posted December 5, 2005 This is why I love LBT.. It's always nice to know there are others out there battling the same things. Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences and remedies. Sal
Anu 0 Posted December 6, 2005 I went from a 44DD to a 38 Xtra Long. Yeah, pretty ucky-- new boobs for me after my extra weight is all gone. I am even going to get the kind where the nipples point up!
terri b 0 Posted December 7, 2005 No itching, but I can relate to the "extra long boobs". Maybe perky boobs after I loose the weight.
loopylou 0 Posted December 7, 2005 Fish Oil Fish Oil Fish Oil!! I had to stop taking it after surgery due to blood-thinning meds (apparently they interact) and now my skin is itchy all over!!!! So I am eating lots of salmon and nuts and seeds to get all those lovely healthy oils back into my body. (I also get terrible reactions, in the booby department, if I change my washing powder - have you changed anything in the laundry? Or if you are itchy underneath go for some Curash Powder and use everyday.)
Victoria 1 0 Posted December 8, 2005 I am one of those who went through the buffet line twice when they were passing out boobies. Well now I know who was ahead of me!! You had 2 helpings and I didn't get enough! And what little I did get is now drooped to my belly button so I just start at the bottom and roll them up and stick into the bra cup!! Also, one thing I do Is powder my rolls before they get into the trap and I also powder that ever-ready inner tube that is someday I'm sure going to keep me from drowning. Guest spectraldogs Posted December 8, 2005 Right now it is cold and DRY DRY DRY in my house with my wood burning stove providing extra heat. That is when I itch 24/7 unless I lotion up. You might try some Aveeno lotion and also a bath with baby oil for a cleanser.
