Mini goal #4 achieved !!

Recommended Posts

When I started my weight loss journey back in May, I set up four mini goals to meet prior to my BIG FINALE-100 pounds lost.

Well, I just hit my last mini goal:

1) loose 50 pounds- accomplished Sept

2) get below 200-accomplished Oct

3) weigh less than my husband (184)-accomplished Nov

4) lose 75 pounds- accomplished TODAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And what's even better....I know I will keep it off forever !!!

Even if I never make it to the 100 pound mark, I know I am so much healtheir and happier with where I am. What a great Christmas present I just gave myself, and boy does it feel gooooooooooooooood.

Thanks guys for helping me along the way

Thanks guys !!!! I know it sounds silly, but all I wanted was to weigh less than my husband. It's been a dream of mine for the past 12 years.

And even if I never made it to the 100 pound mark, I would still be proud of my accomplishments!

really, no secret at all. I try to eat only healthy/diet type foods first (yogurts/cottage cheese/chicken/fish, etc), and very rarely will have room for anything else. I drink a TON of Water, so that helps. I can't say I am a big fan of exercise, so that's out. I am also pretty aggessive about getting fills. I think I have had a total of 7 so far (2.6 cc in a 4cc band). I just know I need more fill when I find it takes alot more to get me full !!! I think this last may just be it for a while. Thanks again for evryones kind words

;-)You did all that in 6 months! Kudos! I like the idea of giving yourself mini goals to keep motivation going. Here's what I want to do... in a local mall here they have a Williams-Burke spa. I think a massage every 25lbs isn't excessive.... for a 100lb weight loss that would mean 4 visits :) . So, you have some catch-up to do with 3 and 1 to go! Tell hubby! You do us all proud and your true story a blessing.

Thank You.

WTG!!!!! You are absolutely an inspiration and a really positive role model for us to follow. Setting the mini goals is such a wonderful idea, it really helps keep the motivation going doesn't it? It's wonderful to hear how happy you are and how well you are feeling.

Happy Holidays to you and your family!

Cindy

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
