So, I just wanted to tell you about something that happened just now. Kinda freaked out. I was on my computer just playing a game, and I kinda fell asleep. I woke up with a start when "stuff" started coming out of my NOSE!!! (This next part is kinda gross.) It kind of had little cottage cheese-ish stuff in it, but the majority of it was watery. I know it's band-related because I have been having issues with reflux/choking/drowning feeling. I don't understand what's going on!!!! Should I be worried? Has anyone else experienced this?

By the way, it's all down my shirt and a little on my pants. I'm kind of freaking out. I'm not gonna lie.

Help!!!! :smile2:

A year and a half. I got a fill in April, and she filled me up VERY tight. But I went back to college, so I couldn't get an aspiration. I've just been living with it since then. However, I am on my way back to Texas, so we're going to address the issue.

Thanks for writing back so quickly!!!

I have been reading about it now, many say they have the same issue, one said she had a slip!

I think we should have the barium swallow. My doc said i should stop eating & drinking @ night, i did that but still the same problem happened!

I really cannot sleep @ night just from coughing

Sounds to me like your band is way too tight. You should get back to the Dr ASAP and get some fill taken out. The problem is that it seems that you have been too tight and known that you were too tight for a while. Being too tight causes all sorts of problems and can lead to you losing your band . Hopefully no irreparable damage has been done.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
