I want to do it all! Right now I am aiming for the high end on normal bmi. Which at 5'2" my goal is 135 lb. I am fine with exercise I found something I love which is kickboxing, later on I might switch to some form of martial arts though.

As of right now, I've lost 80% of my excess weight, and I have plans to go past that 100%. My ultimate goal is about 150 pounds. The ideal weight range for my height is 135 to 168. I will be within that normal weight range. Right now, I have people that tell me I don't need to lose anymore, that I look awesome. And, if I wanted to settle, I could stay at this weight. But I don't want to be obese or overweight for teh rest of my life, so I'm going to keep on trucking forward until I blow "their" statistics sky high :success1:

I'm confused by those who say they want to lose more than 100% of their excess weight. What does that mean? To me, losing 100% of your excess weight means you are at your ideal weight...so losing more means you're now underweight. As much of a problem as being overweight.

Most of the time "ideal weight" means when you officially aren't overweight anymore. So, for me, the day I hot 168 pounds will be the day I have lost 100% of my excess weight. But I want to get to the middle of my weight range, hence the more than 100% excess weight lost.

My goal is actually set at about 80% of my excess weight. Due to my build and muscle mass - I think the extra 20-30 lbs may leave me a bit sick looking. But I have already said I will reevaluate when I get there and see how much more I want to lose. My goal is to be healthy and comfortable in my body - no number on the scale can define that for me.

Ahhh...ok. To me excess weight is anything over the ideal weight. ;)
