PMS & Hersey's KISSES!Support pls!!!!

Recommended Posts

OH my goodness!!! I can't not have chocolate in the house cause then I really go nuts.

So I have a bag of Hersey's Kisses.

I know that 9 a day is 230 calories. So I am at least keeping it to no more than 9, but so far today I've had 6 and tonight Im going to bunco which is surrounded by FOOD!!!!

I swear the bag calls me! All I've eaten today is a protien shake 220 calories, Stoffers lean chicken marsala 140 calories, 3 small bites of stuffing 2 of sweet potatoes and now SIX kisses!!

So thats a clear total of 513 plus those small bites, I have no idea what to count them as.

Do you think I'm doing horrible? I hate this I know I shouldn't obsess, but......

I'm hungry but i'm not hungry.

I just need that taste of chocolate especially this week!!!

Please tell me what you do to help the chocolate addiction! I pray I will eat no more today and just eat a tiny bit of dinner tonight at bunco. (the dice, eating, gossiping and drinking game!)

Sorry this is so long I just feel real insecure these days.

thanks,

di

We have all been in that boat so we understand. Mine was last week and I bought those darned little stripped hershey's kisses to make pancakes last week. The problem was with the left overs...I kept going back until the darn bag was empty...evil...pure sweet evil. At least you are keeping track of the intake...hopefully that will keep you inline until the craving gets past. You might also try some eating just straight Protein like some cut up chicken. I heard that helps...don't know, haven't wanted to resist the craving bad enough to want to replace it with something else.

1. Take deep breathes!

2. Put down the Kisses and step away from the bag.

3. Give them to a child in the neighborhood.

4. Quit being so hard on yourself!

5. Try some sugar-free chocolate favored Syrup in coffee for a quasi-mocha drink.

Hang in there; you're doing great!

You could do some therapy. Here's how:

Take the entire bag, what's left of it, and unwrap each and every single one of them and put them in a bowl. Dont eat any of them!!!!! Then pop them in the microwave for 30 seconds...just to get them goo-ey (how do you spell goo-ey, anyway?) Then, take a spoon and swirl it around. Go to the spice cabinet and get the salt, garlic, and Lawreys. As you sprinkle it onto the melted evil, chant..."you are gross, I don't need you, you are evil, I REBUKE you!!!!!" then stir in the spices with the spoon so you won't lick it, then clean the bowl and put it away. DONE! You have made chocolate something gross, and have proven to yourself you can shun it with the best of them.

Or, you can give yourself a break, eat 9 a day and get over it.

(((((hugs))))) you make me smile!!!!

Get rid of them! They are evil!

Kidding... I can't have the stuff around at all or I will go nuts. If I am munching on something at my desk and I am not hungry... I throw it away, because I certainly won't dig it out of the trash.

Office trash with nothing but papers in it? The kisses are wrapped? I'm PMSing? Don't think I woudln't dig it out! I just might! That's why you have to ruin them. :)

wait, you've had maybe 700 calories today, including all your little bites, and you are stressing???? typically people are doing extremely well on 1200 calories a day, so that gives you plenty of wiggle room for dinner.

next time, get dark chocolate. Many people find that dark chocoalte is more satifying than milk chocoalte.

Okay, let's get some perspective on this, shall we? YOU ATE SIX not SIXTY. Six is what skinny people eat.

Kathy that was just evil with the spices. Think like this, how long does it take me to burn that number of calories. Walk for 2 hour to burn 1 kiss......sooooooo start walking off what you already ate.

SF chocolate pudding is so much better.

I didn't even think of pudding! Thanks. I didn't do to bad at bunco tonight. I did have a few pieces of chocolate but not much dinner so I think I'm still ok.

I'll do better starting right now!!!

That "put them in a bowl and microwave them" scenario was absolutely cruel. For God's sake I sat here reading that and starting having little chocolate orgasms until you mentioned putting in the Lawry's.

Hmmm...I wonder if that would be kinda sickly yummy?

Ha Ha

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
