MadysMom 3 Posted July 20, 2010 I'm in need of some help. Last Wednesday, I had my 3rd fill. It brought me to 6.75cc in my 10cc band. I've noticed a HUGE difference in the way my food feels when it goes down. I made 2 scrambled eggs this morning and could not get more that a few spoonfuls down without feeling tight. Is that normal? If it is, should I just drink a Protein Shake for Breakfast? I hate those powdery things!! Yesterday afternoon I was only able to eat about 1/2 to 3/4 cup of my lunch and then dinner was about the same. Lunch and dinner both went down okay. I have had no trouble with vomiting, so that makes me wonder if this is what "restriction" is suppose to feel like. I just don't feel like I ever get full, I just feel a pressure that tells me I'll be sorry if I eat another bite!
HappyMom 1 Posted July 20, 2010 Oh I envy you!!!! I have had two fills (the third is scheduled for this afternoon) and I can eat pretty much anything that I want.....and as much as I want! No matter how much I eat I still don't feel full. After my first two fills I felt a little 'tightness'. A few days later my stomach would relax and go back to feeling pretty much nothing. Maybe that is what you are experiencing? Maybe your stomach will relax a little and loosen things up a bit? Either way, you are now able to eat the volume that my dietitian has all along said we were supposed to eat, 1/2 cup of food per meal. I just never believed her since I can scarf down a lot of food if I allowed myself! Either way, I really hope that I reach some sort of restriction after today's fill. I am dying to have some restriction to limit my food intake. Again, I envy you restriction!!!
MadysMom 3 Posted July 20, 2010 Well, I was feeling like I was getting close the last fill I had. Sometimes it's just hard for me to eat. I guess that goes with the program. Morning and afternoon are the hardest for me, once the evening hits it gets better.
bambam31 168 Posted August 1, 2010 Pre-band, I was so used to eating until I was stuffed that I didn't know how to recognize when to stop. I now know to stop when I'm "satisfied" not when I'm "full." Brad
