Me! But i'm going thru St. Vincent. However, 2 of my coworkers have been thru Clarian. One have completed her WLS as of last year and she said Clarian is the best and she'll do it all over again in a heartbeat. Another coworker of mine is currently going thru the process and she enjoys them 2.

Hi :) I just replied to your other post and now see this one, so now I know your name and where you are having surgery. You may want to go to your post with that letter and edit out your name :tt2:

Good luck with your surgery

hows it going with St. V's?

I freakin love it! The process has been soooo quick 4 me! I went 2 the consultation in April....had my psych-eval in May...insuranced approved me in June....my pre-op July 12...my surgery scheduled 4 July 22! i thought whoa!!! dont get me wrong...i am soooo ready but everything was just moving sooo fast...so i rescheduled it 4 August 9....

Just seems like everyone elses journey has taken a lot longer than mine! I havent been required a pre-op diet or anything....Sometimes i wonder if they skipped some steps! LOL!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
