My Husband finally noticed

Recommended Posts

My DH took the kids to my mom's house last night for dinner, I was at a work function. They were all flipping through digital pictures from our vacaton together in April at Disney. ANd my husband finnally saw the differences. My mom said, he was like holy sh#t, I can't believe this was 7 months ago. And some beautiful things.

DH is never one to comment on my weight, hell he watched me gain 100 pounds and never said a thing. A blessing and a curse rolled in one. SO this was big for him. I called my mom on the way home last night on the cell and she gave me the scoop. When I got home DH was waiting up for me, there a midnight still in my suit - I got a slew of compliments. I asked where this was coming from ( I knew damn well but hey)

he finnaly noticed and I'm estatic! (sp)

My goodness - how could he NOT notice? You have to be one of the fastest rabbits on the site. You've lost almost 10 pounds a month.

Good for you. You must be thrilled (I know I would be!)

P.S. Were you in Disneyland or World? I'm a closet Disneyphile - shhhh, don't tell anyone.

That's so funny and so wonderful! Silly hubby, sometimes it takes them a while, but they get there. Kiss him sweet!

btw, I think it's spelled ecstatic (?) yep...I looked it up :D

I too have one of those hubbies who never made me feel bad about gaining weight. I totally agree about the blessing/curse thing...

Your DH sounds like a keeper! Congratulations on your weight loss!! :D

Congratulations on being noticed! My DH was always the type that would say, "are you going to eat that", but now he tells me almost everyday that I'm falling off to nothing, needless to say, I'm far from that, LOL.

That's wonderful, Debby!! My husband and my best friend were the same, in that they didn't notice til I got out the 'before' picture. I guess it's just the seeing each other every day thing - makes it hard to tell.

Very happy for you :D

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
