SuperDaddy Sang for 8,500 people!!!

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the responses, everybody! It really was a total rush. I don't usually get very nervous in front of a crowd anymore, as we've been singing for nearly a dozen years...but it was certainly the biggest venue we've sung for before. What was a real thrill was just the difference in confidence that I have because I'm more comfortable in my own skin thanks to the weight loss. Love that BAND! As you can see...I sing with a bunch of skinny little dudes, so it's nice to not look quite so odd in comparison.

Unlike most rock stars, I enjoyed a nice slice of humble pie as arrived in Mpls, and had to change my kids diapers and make them dinner! What a great life! If you ever want a pick-me-up to your day, you can stop by the website and listen to us, or grab a CD.

Rock on, bandsters!

Jon

SuperDaddy

That is so awesome!!! I love Jars of Clay and Chris Tomlin. I listen to Christian music all the time, especially when I am feeling stressed out. It relaxes me and reminds me that God is with me.

What an amazing opportunity!!! Congratulations!

Rock on my Christian brother! How awesome!!!

So glad that you and your band had a good time. Praising God is what it's all about, isn't it!

Keep spreading the good news and your rewards will be many!

Fantastic! I so admire those who can use their gifts to praise the One who bestowed them! I try to do that as a teacher, but it's a lot less people at one time. And they don't all believe. And, it's public school, so it's touchy. You are living my secret fantasy life...singing! But believe me, it's best if I only sing in the car! Thanks for posting this! Cindy

Hey Cindy,

Keep being a light in that public school! I also teach in a public school....what an amazing ministry you can have there with non-believing families. Let them see Jesus through your actions of compassion and fairness, instead of words that could get you in hot Water. I'm pretty blessed to be surrounding by other Christians teaching with me...including my principal! I sometimes wonder if I take too many risks with what I say in class. But you know what...they can't get on you for answering any questions that the kids ask you...even in regards to the true Christmas story this season! Speak the truth!

Thanks for the encouragement!

Jon

Knoxville here and praise the Lord for your talent. He gave you a very special gift. What an awesome crowd. Why didn't I hear about this. Of course I'm about 3 hr. from Nashville, but if I knew there was a bandster singing I would have made my way there. WTG.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
