that's so funny! I was thinking the same thing, Clint and Stacey!!! I know, as soon as I found out there was a Lane Bryant, I was excited to go check it out. I liked it, best one I've been in!

Hi Aristocate, welcome aboard. CrystalStar created this particular group that meets monthly. We have a good time and she moves the meetings around to diffrent locations trying to accomodate everyone in the group. Your local obesity centers, and lapband surgeons normally have monthly meetings.

Guest TowsonGreg

Hello All, Greg here. I did attend one of the meetings in Annapolis. Any chance of scheduling one closer to my area in Towson? I've been banded for close to three years, and could use some encouragement. Been stuck at the same weight for awhile! Really need to lose the last 50 pounds!!!!

Hi Greg,

How have you been? We have missed you the last couple months. I'm sure we can come up with something to work out for everyone. Maybe we could alternate each moth between areas. Maybe Anne Arundel Mills one month and some other place down this way the next. We were talking about bowling next time...The new Dave and Busters has a bowling alley . We're open to suggestions.

Hope to see you soon

Cristina

Hi Greg, nice to meet you. I use to shop at Kenilworth mall at Ulla Popkin in Towson. Wow you have worked that heck out of your band. Do you exercise? I'm having such a hard time incorporating exercise on a regular basis. A friend did make a promise to me last night that they will encourage me to exercise and will even walk with me. Easier said then done, especially now that it is cold outside.

Stocymd- that sould like a grand idea. I will go almost anywhere as long as I have some directions and a cell phone. LOL I have not been bowling in yearsssss but I'm excited. I think I will bring my daughter to the next one. We need to incorporate some activity in our meetings.

Is anyone interested in going to a gym on Saturday morning twice a month?

Hello everybody, At the last meeting I told a few I would put out the name of the Doctor in Baltimore that also does Lab Band at St.AgnesHospital, He is Andrew Averbach, M.D. There are a few that have had the surgey and put their comments on the OH Board. Can't wait to see everyone next meeting.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
