sprinkles 0 Posted July 17, 2010 Hey to everyone! I just started my 2-week pre-op diet on 7/15 and so far not so bad. However, I went to the dentist on Thursday and she extracted 2 teeth so that helps with not being hungry! I certainly didn't expect to have teeth taken out and have stitches in my mouth, but I have decided it is time for me to be healthy all the way around! My surgery is scheduled for 7/29 and I am excited and nervous at the same time. I am so ready to do this and can't wait to have a new me in the coming months and years! Hopefully, I will be able to decrease my diabetic meds and my high blood pressure meds; that would be AWESOME! I am so glad I found this site; everyone is wonderful and I will continue to post progress as it comes. Good luck to everyone who has made this life-changing decision!
Drake alp 0 Posted July 17, 2010 I wish you much success! Keep up the positive attitude - that will carry you far. I had Diabetes II. I had surgery 6/24 and it is in remission now. I wasn't checking my blood sugars during the pre-op diet, and they checked it during the surgery prep and it was 76 fasting. I've been checking since surgery and am running 74-76 fasting each morning. I wish you the same good health!
