A Good Recommendation

Recommended Posts

Good Morning Everyone;

I have been banded since 7/1 and have learned a lot from the experience so far. One of the things I have picked up was the need to journal my food and weight. There is a free site that allows you to do just that. Its called Fitday. Try this link and check it out. Protein. It also graphs your weight loss. It makes the trip much easier to follow.

So if you are pre-band or post, this is a good site.

Hope this helps

Hal

hi.

thanx for the idea.

Is 850 calories approx. the amount that a banded person eats?

Are you satisfied when your done?

Hello Feel :smile:

The 850 is approximate, but very close to real. I have had no hungar at all. I have been watching my Protein very closely and am always above 55g's. Could I eat more? -- Yes, but I generally don't. Sometimes when I am in the kitchen, I will open the cottage cheeze and take a tea spoon snack - not for hungar, but for taste.

I was banded 7/1 and have absolutely no restriction. I have not tested my limits, but can drink liquids in gulps, and my scramble eggs go down like before the band.

Hope this helps.

Hal

      Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
      What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
