Edivel 0 Posted July 16, 2010 So my story is like this...my whole life overwieght, I was referred by my dr. back when I was like 25 for they gastric bypass...I knew I wanted it, but I wanted to keep trying to loose the wieght on my own..it always went down and then right back up...and so on..Now, Im 36 and Im 304 lbs...and I can no longer hide the fact that Im sooo uncomfortable in my own body...No matter how nice I dress, how I do my hair and makeup or how well I carry myself...Im tired, I have no energy...my feet hurt and I hate to see myself in pictures now...so, finally I got on My husbands insurance since he has a ppo and whats more this time is that he is being very supportive and he is even going to go thru this with me...He needs to love some weight too. We went to the seminar July 7th, we have our upper endos..somthing and labwork on the July 21, 2010 and our sleep study on August 13, 2010...then we just wait for the approval from our Insurance company...Im hoping for it with ALL my heart now...I need this..really really this... danielle b 32 Posted July 17, 2010 Good for you....taking the first step is the hardest!! I believe that this was also the best thing for me. I think that it is great that you and your husband are doing this journey together. I have had full support from my husband and kids....it makes a big difference when you have support!! Good luck to the both of you.....

Edivel 0 Posted July 20, 2010 Every day I get to step closer to getting everything together for the insurance company...then I will anxiously await for the approval.... CharCo 0 Posted July 20, 2010 Everyone who needs this surgery should be able to get it! Good luck to you! I had to self pay because my employer has all weight related health services excluded from their coverage. How stupid!! They would have to treat me for comorbids, so not paying to prevent them is just outrageous. So far - best money I've ever spent.
