Jachut 487 Posted December 17, 2005 I'm not worrying about it. It hasnt even been mentioned to me by my surgeon or dietician, again another thing that's a bit different here in Australia. Obviously Protein is necessary in what you eat but for me it's not the focus. In actual fact I was thinking more about protein in the first few days and having Protein Shakes in preference to anything else and I felt deathly ill. The minute I dropped it and started figuring ways to get the good foods I would normally eat in in liquid form I feel about a million percent better and am not fainting anymore. jigglypuff 0 Posted December 17, 2005 I was hungry on day 3 post banding. Plus, I had horrible diarrhea from the Clear Liquids only, and was very weak. I added 4 oz of smooth yogurt, once a day for a couple of days, and then twice a day. It made all the difference in how I felt. I used low-fat or full fat smooth yogurt--no chunks of fruit in it. I did a lot of research and saw that some lapbanders in England were allowed yogurt from the beginning of being banded, so I figured it was OK. You might want to check with your MD and see if that would be OK for you. Just a thought.
