sweetbean70 2 Posted July 14, 2010 I just got back from a mini vacation at my childhood best friend's house. She lives just outside Cincinnati and you can see King's Island's Eiffel Tower from the end of her street. I haven't seen her and her family since they came home (Columbus) for Christmas. At that time, I'd lost about 55-60 pounds. Now, I've lost 80-85 pounds. At Christmas, her 9 y/o son kept bragging about how he can and will ride any and all roller coasters at King's Island. He threw me a challenge and I accepted. I have to admit that I was extremely nervous about getting back on a roller coaster because the last time I tried to ride a roller coaster (2004), I couldn't fit in the seat and had to leave the loading area in front of EVERYONE. Needless to say, that was VERY embarrassing! Well, I am extremely proud to report that I FIT ON EVERY RIDE WITH ROOM TO SPARE! :puke:    We rode the Diamondback, Invertigo, Italian Job, and Adventure Express coasters and a few other rides. We went to the park after 5pm and the lines were really short. I had a blast!
waynooo 1 Posted July 14, 2010 AWESOME! Congrats to you, I too have had to do the walk of shame at Knotts berry farm in So Cal. Not fun, one of my goals is to be able to comfortably ride all the rides. Congrats again!
btrieger 21 Posted July 14, 2010 Congrats!! I've had to hang my head and leave in front of a hundred people or so after waiting in line for an hour or more. I don't embarrass easily but I did that time.

LilMissDiva Irene 3,282 Posted July 16, 2010 That has to be one of the single most embarrassing things to happen to me due to being obese. This happened to me a very long time ago and I still remember it like it was yesterday. I haven't been back to the amusement park since. That is actually a huge goal of mine to go back and face my fear. I want to wait until I know for sure I can do it. In fact, my goal in my ticker line should be about that. Again, awesome and congratulations!
NurseSophie 0 Posted July 16, 2010 Congrats! I'm so excited for you! Although this is one of my top five embarassing moments, I still think asking for a seatbelt extention on an airplane was worse for me. I'll be flying soon and KNOW I will NOT need that again! lauragshsu 6 Posted July 16, 2010 Awesome NSV! I've never had that experience, but I have had one wheere we were tubing down a faux river at a Water park and I clogged up most of the area because my tube kept sinking with me on it, and wasn't floating. I told DH that it's my goal to go there next summer and float along.

AmandaGW 1 Posted November 15, 2010 YES! Way to go! This is one of those things I am looking most forward to. Being able to ride rides with my daughter! This summer I was at my heaviest and, although I was able to ride, the workers had to come push on the restraints to make them click...it was really embarrassing. I cannot wait to ride the coasters this summer!

lakegirl88 13 Posted November 15, 2010 I to have walked that wall of Shame. Both the ride and the seat belt. My God how pain full the embarrassment was. There have been so many of those moments. This is a good way to start out this week. Just keeping this in mind will help stay on the right track. I never want to feel that way again. great job on the rides Sweetbean. You go !!!!!!! Poinzy05 1 Posted November 15, 2010 Congradulations!!!!!!! Ive also walked the walk of shame at Knotts berry Farm in Cali. It was just one coaster but it was the one I really wanted to ride...lol. This past week Hubby and I were in Las Vegas and got on the coaster at NY NY and for once in my life I didnt worry about weight. It was a great feeling. I got to injoy myself and not have to worry about if they are going to ask me to get off. =)
