How often do you PB?

Recommended Posts

For me, I can get "stuck" but don't actually PB.

Me too. I've been banded for 2.5 months and have only gotten stuck once (and I've had 3 fills). The "stuck" feeling was not a good one, but it only lasted about 5 minutes and was no big deal. I'll never eat tater tots again, though.

I do try to eat eggs for Breakfast and some meat for the Protein, but I have a hard time getting meat down. I try and showtime rotissaire my chicken so it is moist enough to slide down. I really can't seem to get any red meat or pork down so I try to stay away from that as much as possible. I do eat fish quite a bit as well. Any suggestions on how to get more protein in my diet?

I actually vomit instead of PB, I was doing this quite often but after getting a piece of fish stuck for about 6 hours I have relooked at paying attention to what I am eating and stopping the second I get the feeling I am getting to full. I have not told many people that I had the surgery and I think I was trying to "pass" I ate out and just ate less. But it was to much and I usually ended up in the bathroom. I have desided not to eat in public and am feeling much better. I now have a 3rd fill and am eating alot less and starting to lose weight. No vomiting I am listening to my body.

I only have 5 weeks under my belt and have PB'd twice. I tried to eat a bisquit when I was adding solid foods back in and boy did it not go down. Painful and tons of spitting up mouthfuls of goop before the bread came back up. It definitely isn't like vomiting for me, it is more like a baby spitting up. No heaves or anything, it just comes up with that last glob of slime. Did it again today (had first fill Monday) with a bite of garlic bread. Bread is out for me, it just isnt worth it.

I'm only 2 1/2 months out, and have only had 2 episodes that I think were semi-PB's. First was the day before my fill, I ate WAY too much, got a pain in my chest & left shoulder, and a horrible headache. It lasted about 15-20 minutes. 2nd time was when I tried to eat a small bite of toast. Pain in the chest, and after about an hour I burped (the kind of burp when you drink a soda too fast). *Relief*

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
