I just had my LAP-BAND® on June, 30th and I was losing weight fast until about July 10th! I keep going to 208 and then back to 206, 207.5, to 208. It's really bothering me and i don't know what to do. Help me out?

I'm supposed to get banded in August, but my center told me something about this. Have you gotten a fill yet? That may be what you need. Good Luck.

Congrats on your weight-loss so far. :)

Please remember that you had surgery about a month ago and that your body is healing. Mostly everyone loses a lot of weight in the beginning, but it will slow down. Give yourself time to heal and try to stay off the scale. If you're cleared for exercise, go do some walking. Switch up your calories if you can.

The first 6 weeks is really about healing. Your weight will go up and down plenty of times, so, not to be blunt but, get used to it. It's all part of the journey.

Your screen name says it all....LoseItQuick...

The band is awesome, magical, wonderful, however, it doesn't work over night. I went into banding assuming that the first few months were where the big numbers came off. Not so. You have a long road ahead of you. You did not get obese over night and you won't get to a healthy weight over night. Take a step back and look at your success so far. You've lost 17 pounds in a very short amount of time. You are doing great. I was told to expect a 1-2 pound loss per week. In reality I'm a little ahead of that but the first month post op I didn't lose much at all...then I found restriction and boy did things change!

If you are watching your diet, exercising, eating healthy, etc, the weight will come off, but it does take time. Fills help, but the vast majority of us require several fills before we reach restriction and really start to notice the pounds coming off. Focus on healing and adapting a healthy lifestyle. And, although it is hard, try to be patient.

Good luck, I know it sucks right now but you will get there!.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
