feelfat 1 Posted July 14, 2010 Did you make yourself like a middle goal? and a timeframe in that you want to loose a certain amount of weight? I want to loose first 50, I dunno how much time I should give myself for it approx.
Bruingal 0 Posted July 14, 2010 I, too, am getting banded on July 26 at St. Joseph Hospital in Orange, CA. Started my Protein Drinks Monday and was surprised that they don't taste as bad as I expected. Using the New Directions brand of Protein drinks - get just 3 of those puppies a day. I'm always hungry but have been told by others that the hunger goes away. Sharing all of the emotions that you are but looking forward to this new adventure. Moquarius 3 Posted July 14, 2010 Hi ladies...I am not getting banded at NYU but I am getting banded on 7/26 at Englewood Hospital in NJ. I go for my pre-op testing this Friday and I have already been warned that I have a loooooooooooong day ahead. I havent been put on a pre-op diet because my date was just pushed up and so based on the results I may be on a one week pre-op diet. Good luck!
MollyRN 28 Posted July 15, 2010 July 26 is a good day FF - For me, the monumental loss would be at about 82 lbs - at that point, I will feel like eveything after that is a happy surprise. But yes, I have an initial "PLEASE LET ME LOSE 40 LB" goal.... god, let me lose anything I guess.... and keep it off - I WOULD Celebrate THAT :puke: I guess we lapband people all know how impossible it is to lose and keep the weight off!!!! I am drinking the muscle milk light shakes from GNC - I get 5 per day which lessens my stress - if I only got 3 shakes per day, I might have a nervous breakdown!! feelfat 1 Posted July 16, 2010 Hello fellow bandsters, How was your day? Is it getting easier? I feel that I have to be very busy not to think about food. T"G I am very busy most of these days. But when I have a "spare" moments in the day I find myself going crazy. So what did I eat today? I had three shakes, 2 cups of cooked zuccini and 1 coffee. I am down 5 lbs. in 4 days. That is called motivation. I am really thankfull. I hope you guys are all doing well. We can do this! we are better than that! we can manage! BAND-POWER!!! Lets proove it! think of it like this; We are almost over this week, so after the weekend its only 1 more week, and by middle of next week its just another few days and we are gonna be there. I cant wait to be banded. I cant wait to be 3 to 5 weeks after being banded. I think I am dreading the first few hours and days after surgery. I have fears somehow. I cant explain. I guess I gotta see the numbers go down on my scale in order to get exited more than nervous. I just looked at a picture of me today when I was 136 lbs.(5 years ago). I looked so good. I felt good in my body, i was confident. I still feel how I felt when I looked at the pic. So always when I am confused and dunno what I'M actually doing here, I tell myself you are doing this coz u wanna get back to this, and then I get positive again. I hope I'm not boring you with sharing my thoughts. I just feel comfortable sharing it here. not too many ppl know of my surgery, so u guys are in the same boat. All the best to all of you.
