So I was got my first fill last week, whoo hoo...5.0 in my band. He told me to come back in 2 weeks for my second. So when I went to schedule, the only appointment was 8 days from my first. I asked if she was sure that was ok, and she said yes.

Anyone else have fills that close together? I have NO restriction, so I'm thinking it should be fine! I told them to be aggressive...I guess I'm getting my wish!

I had my second fill 9 days after 1st. No problem. I might get my 3rd fill sooner rather than later. You will be fine.

Yes...I also had my fills close together. I am acutally glad the Dr. was willing to work with me until I felt restriction.

Im allowed to get fills whenever I need them. I had my 2nd fill just under 2 weeks apart from each other.

one of the reasons fills are so far apart time wise is togive your stomach a chance to get used to the restriction. Getting fills too fast can be BAD BAD BAD.

I had erosion 4 months after surgery and one of the reasons we believe is because of my fills which I got too fast. In the 4 months since surgery I went from 0cc in my 10cc band to 8cc in my band by the time the erosion was found. If it wasnt for my doc doing a random endoscope check we would not have found it so soon.

Be careful fast fills can be good in the short run giving you restriction but a couple of months from now you might find that you have erosion or problems with your stomach.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
