I was banded on 6/22/10! Yay for me! For the most part things have been pretty smooth sailing. I didn't have a whole lot of pain and I recovered nicely. Now for the past three days I have had this pain in the left upper quadrant of my abdomen. It's not excrutiating pain but I can certainly feel it. Did anyone experience this? Does anyone have any suggestions of what it could be? I can still eat and I can still drink, it just bothers me some. Should I call the doctor? Any suggestions are appreciated!

I had this pain too. Nowhere near an incision. I really think it was gas. I'm 8 days post-op and don't feel it as regularly as I did, but occasionally it does.

I know you had surgery before me, but it's really possible it's still gas pains.

Do you have a post-op dr visit soon?

I go in on the 21st for my first fill. It might be gas, I don't know! I'm worried about slippage but from what I have read on here, if the band slipped I would definitely feel it. Congrats on your band!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
