Jamie1970 0 Posted July 7, 2010 Ok, so far it's not been too bad. The Protein Shake I got is great---I got the unflavored kind so I can make it taste like whatever I want it to. I mixed it with skim milk and a 1/2 tsp of sugar free waffle syrup-------it tastes just like the milk left after you've had a bowl of cereal! Who doesn't love that?? I'm sure day 2 and 3 are likely to not be as 'pain free' as day 1. However---I'm ready for it so bring it on!! <<chuckle>> It's good incentive to get a hobby or something so I don't just think about food all day I guess...LOL Wish me luck, folks. I know I can do this! Size 10 jeans, here I come!!!!!!! Whoo hoo!!!

muddieguryl 0 Posted July 8, 2010 Jamie! We are on the same schedule. July 21st at 7:30 for me. Lucky me, I get a high protein/low carb diet. Started 7/1. So far, lost 7 pounds. Sounds weird, I have been eating meat and cheese and spinach all week. I feel like a salt lick. Best wishes to you!

My surgery date is July 16. its tough this first week has been very challenging for me, but i just keep thinking of how this will benefit me in the end and it keeps me motivated. good luck with everything! RobynB1989 0 Posted July 9, 2010 Jamie, My surgery is scheduled for the same day as yours! I just started my pre-op diet today, and it was pretty easy, but I know that its going to get harder. I am really looking forward to losing weight though, so I will do all I can to make sure it happens! Good Luck!
mandie175lbs 5 Posted July 9, 2010 Hey guys how are the liquids coming? I'm going to have to find low fat/calorie, gluten free drinks for the first few weeks. This is going to be so hard because of my allergic reaction to gluten. I hope these few weeks go by fast for you guys.
