Could use some help

I have had my band for about 18 months. After several complications in the beginning -bowel resection, 2 major infections and port relocation, I am having another problem. I had a fill last September, NO problems until last week- all of a sudden I am having terrible pain in my stomach. Started as a grabbing twisting pain, ER doctor did a cat scan and a barrium swallow, he removed all of the Fluid in my band thinking this would fix the problem. It changed the pain, it is now a stabbing pain but with the removal of my fill I am now having reflux, a problem I havent had since my doctor put the band in a fixed a hiatal hernia. I am a litlle worried about this, has anyone had this. I am probably going to have to go back to the ER because I cannot get a EGD until next week. Sorry for the long post, any help would be appreciated.

It sounds like you should see the doctor ASAP. Shooting/sharp pain is never a good sign, and without Fluid. Did they do an Upper GI Series to make sure you haven't slipped?

Yes they did a barium swallow and said that the band looked good. Of course it was the ER doctor reading it. I am thinking I am going to have to do something because it is painful and nothing seems to make it better ( food, drink)

You need someone to find out what is going on. You shouldn't be in so much pain. I found that the actual radiologist is better at finding the smallest slips after looking at previous images. Stay on the Docs til they figure out your problem.

Do you still have your gall bladder? You might want to get that looked into.
