rhon1960 0 Posted July 4, 2010 I had the LAP-BAND® put on , on 8-2-08. I have been able to keep off 70 lbs. The past couple of months I have been sick and in a lot of pain. I had a x-ray done and it showed by band had slipped to the bottom of my stomach. I will need to have the band put back into place. Has this happened to anyone? What could be the cause. One of the side effects is reflex, which is not fun at all.

Sue Magoo 71 Posted July 9, 2010 Hi Themo123: My band slipped too. I'm having a revision surgery on 7/20. Can you please tell me what the revision surgery is like compared to the original banding surgery? Thanks. Sue
Themo123 0 Posted July 16, 2010 Hi, I was in the hospital overnight. My band was repositioned. It was the same thing like getting a new band. Once it was fixed, I have been fine. Mona
Chicago29 0 Posted July 20, 2010 Yikes! What causes a slip? Is there anything you remember doing or something that can be avioded? I get pain now and then all over my midsection (banded 5 months ago) and it usually goes away. I just chalk it up to the band and my age :tt2:..just aches and pains Speaking of age, the weight loss seems alot slower than some of the youngsters on this site..also, my hair started falling out about 6 weeks ago but I started taking Biotin tablets and it stopped! Who da thunk. Hope you are ok now...
