Does anyone have days where they just feel ravenously hungry? Just asking because I do feel hunger and a girlfriend of mine who also had surgery said she feels like she has some day where she feels like she can't get enough food...I do the Protein thing everyday...I don't know if she does...Has anyone else had this problem??? Thank you.

If I go too long without eating I get hungry and stay that way for the rest of the day, the only thing that fixes it is to go to sleep at night and then it resets the next morning. To keep this from happening I eat something every couple of hours, even if its just a yogurt, Protein bar, or shake. I think it has something to do with my blood sugar but that is just my personal opinion.

So to keep my calories in line I eat 3 meals at 250 calories each and 2 Snacks at 150 calories or less each.

Yep - some days it feels like you can eat a whole lot more than others and still aren't satisfied. On those days - it seems to be mind over matter gets me through (or bare knuckles). Luckily, those days don't happen that often. I notice it at certain times of the month - along with the Migraines

Yup--same here! Some days I am so ravenous I try to curb the calories, but it's really difficult when it's genuine hunger. Every day seems different, but lately, I have been noticing I am getting pretty hungry in between meals and I am able to get things down much quicker than usual. Thank goodness fill #2 is scheduled for July 15.

OK I am still a little baffled here...When people say they eat one cup of food...is that for the whole meal? Or is that besides their Protein (like the meat)? I just got banded in March and have lost 57 pounds...it's starting to slow up a bit...exercise everday...just wondering...cuz I can eat a WW smart ones meal...is that bad???

LOL-- I have NEVER been one of those. I can eat a whole Lean Cuisine in one sitting and STILL be hungry! I know many say they can only eat one cup of food total for their meal, and I do try to keep it reasonable, but in no way does 1 cup ever satisfy me. I told my doc the same thing. He does all my fills under fluoro and I've never had a pouch issue (knock on wood). I'm very close to restriction too--I guess I just need to keep eating slowly so my brain will catch up with my tummy LOL! Next fill is July 15. I am thinking it will only be .2 or .3 ccs--I should definitely be in the green zone then. I HAVE to be LOL!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
