Wow, I'm really sorry to hear that.

It must be truly upsetting to even start to consider the surgery and then find out that you can't follow through.

Can you consider self-pay? Can you call your insurance company and have them clarify their stand to you?

Most insurance co. say that they will not cover unless it is medically necessary.

I too am at this point. Have been thinking about having WLS for awhile but my insurance, Tricare, did not cover. Recently found out via newsletter that LapBand is covered 100%. Called my Dr's office today and they said that I am covered . Have tried WW, Nutrisystem and even starved down a significant amount of weight 15 years ago. Have spoke with hubby, :tt1: God I love him, about it. Have not had any appointments yet but I am excited to finally be starting the process. Bless everybody :smile:
