Kanybl 0 Posted June 28, 2010 right now. Today I have my seminar to start the process. Over the last 4 months through my own hard work and dedication I managed to lose 80lbs. This was just eating right and starting to work out. I weighed 483 lbs and as of my last doctor visit last week I was at 403 lbs. The problems is, and what my doctor warned me about, is I would start to get pains in my back and knees from my size and trying to continue to work hard to lost the weight. I would love to be able to lose the weight but I do not want to get to a healthy weight and then not be able to remain active because my knees, ankles and back are in constant pain. I have gone back and forth with this since I first started feeling pain in my joints 2 months ago. My wife is completely behind whatever decision I make and right now I am a strong lean towards doing the surgery. If all goes well today and some of my fears are put to ease, I will be happy to report my progress.

And also good luck in whatever decision that you make regarding the Lapband surgery. You are also very lucky to have a wife that supports your decisions. Please do keep us posted.
