Congratulations. That must have felt great. I cannot wait to get in the same position, although I am with adagray. My shopping is easy now with limited choices--I now will have to "shop around" for real.

I've just reached the same point. And, I know this will sound weird, but I'm a little bummed. I really like Lane Bryant. I told a friend this and she told me to try 'The Limited' or 'Express' because they are owned by the same company as Lane Bryant.

It WAS a very weird feeling for me. I felt sad for some reason. Like saying goodbye to MY store and the sales staff. I always felt comfortable there and knew I could find something that fit.

I will always buy my bras there because they are the best(unless my boobs disappear too). But I went to Kohl's on my way home from work today and slid right into a size 12 for the first time in at least (10) years.

Of course we are learning the physical changes that our Band has on our bodies, my next challenge is the mental changes. I still think of myself as overweight - OPEN my eyes to the new me!

Congratulations!!!! I now fit in clothes that only have one X on the size and am pretty pleased about it, though I find I am sort of betwixt and between the womens sizes and the misses. That's okay- the situation will resolve itself as I do what I am supposed to do. I can hardly wait to never set foot in the womens size section of Macys again! No wistful nostalgia happening here.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
