kliv2 0 Posted June 26, 2010 Good day everyone! I was banded on 6/22/10. So far so good, a few gas pains here and there. I started a mushy diet this past Friday and that seems to be going well so far. However, I am a little concerned about bowel movements. Is it normal to go a few days without one? I know this might sound gross but I'm just worried. I haven't had one since day of surgery. I'm not sure if I should introduce a Fiber product or just wait it out. My mom has had severe issues when it comes to this topic so I'm very sensitive to it. Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
btrieger 21 Posted June 26, 2010 It's absolutely normal. I wouldn't worry about it unless it starts to hurt or you get nauseous. Try a daily stool softener if you want to help it along.
Bree99 1 Posted June 26, 2010 It was three days for me.
The Big Boy 1 Posted June 26, 2010 5 days for me. Think about it. You have been on liquids for how long? No solids in the system. Don't stress .

kliv2 0 Posted June 27, 2010 Thanks for all the feedback! I'll just relax and see what happens! I started mushy foods on Friday. So far so good! I think each doctor has a different program. I could be wrong though! Good luck!
