I am not one that is normally affected by depression, but today was difficult for me. I found out last night that a friend I hadnt seen in a while passed away. I didnt think I was affected but was feeling down, then got the urges to eat. I admit I ate things I shouldn't of...now next step in the cycle...guilt for eating things I shouldn't. Any suggestions on dealing with depression?

sorry to hear about your friend and my advice to you would be to walk, go out and do exercise, go out with your friends and try to take healthy Snacks. i know it is difficult....i crave for a beer!! so keep it up, it is perfectly normal. goodluck.:smile:

Sorry about your loss!

I too found myself emotional eating this week (albeit for different reasons)- at least you recognize what you are doing and are looking for alternatives. I agree with previous post exercise is a good pick me up- you feel great after too instead of guilt.
