shelley1057 0 Posted June 26, 2010 Was glad to hear LapBand is less painful then Gallbladder surgery! I didn't even need Tylenol after mine. The hysterectomy a year later wasn't so bad either. Don't remember a whole lot of gas but it goes away with walking anyway.

LinKo 0 Posted June 26, 2010 Hi all, I have an 8 inch scar and a drain scar as well. I'm in the process of researching the surgery. Has anyone heard that this scar could be a deterrent to having laparoscopy surgery? I'm wondering about scar tissue. Linda

JMinDallas 1 Posted June 29, 2010 Where were you at the support meeting last night? Late edit: Oops!! Never mind. I forgot for a second that they didn't even tell me about the meetings until after surgery. Forget that I said it is the 4th Thursday at 6:30 in Colleyville. HAHA! I was going to say, what support mtg? And what are you talking about?

dturner153 15 Posted July 2, 2010 I'm in the DFW area. Dr. Wade Barker did my LB on 6/19/10. Feeling great, no problems. But not feeling any restriction..... Having first fill in 4 weeks. Does this sound right? :tt1:
btrieger 21 Posted July 2, 2010 I'm in the DFW area. Dr. Wade Barker did my LB on 6/19/10. Feeling great, no problems. But not feeling any restriction..... Having first fill in 4 weeks. Does this sound right? :tt1: Restriction is a relative term and means something different to everybody. If you are expecting a little guy with horns or a halo to sit on your shoulder and remind you not to eat too much or too fast; it ain't going to happen. If you want to feel restriction now, eat a bunch of fish and rice without chewing well. It's there. I got stuck prior to having any fills and it is no fun, kind of funny but no fun. The first fill following surgery is usually 6 weeks out. You probably won't feel much different after the first fill or maybe even your second but be careful and chew everything very good. If you are careless, the band will remind you it is there.
