My problem is i am starving!!! i do the Protein Shakes and liquid and am seeing the Dr. in 2 days (Monday) the nutritionist i talked to says hang in thier till then but it has been so hard, i am allowing myself creamed Soups instead of broth and hope that is ok, I also had sweet potato caserole. Cocoabean 430 Posted June 20, 2010 I was ready to eat my dog during the post op phase! He was just lucky he could move faster than I. Just a couple more days til you see your doc. You can make it! Don't risk hurting yourself. Stick it out.
Humming Bird 275 Posted June 20, 2010 The lump is the port. I think you will be ok with the creamed Soups. Yes it does get better. Hang in there.
~amy~ 1 Posted June 20, 2010 I think you're about as normal as they get! :smile2: We've all been there - starving to the point of wanting to gnaw off your right arm. (I'm from Texas, so I can say 'gnaw,' right?) I was allowed creamed Soups after the first week...if they were well strained. Try the V8 soups in the green cartons...they're really good. It does get better. You are a strong person, and you can survive this!
