If you really don't like veggies the easiest thing to do is what we do when we are trying to get kids to eat them. Grate them and add them to sauces, casseroles, lasagnes, meat loaves etc.

I add grated carrot, zucchini, green and red peppers etc to things like lasagne all the time.

I LOVE spaghetti squash! I boil it, cut it in half and scrape out the seeds, then scrape out the rest to eat over the next couple of days. I like it best with garlic, salt, and pepper, plus some butter or margarine if I'm not being strict on calories. It's good with Pasta sauces, too.

I adore grilled asparagus, too. And another easy way for me to get more veggies in is to fix casseroles or crockpot meals (as elcee suggested); the other sauces and flavors in these help the veggies taste good even if I don't love the ones I used.

Hi:

Fresh, raw green Beans make a delicious, crunchy snack. I also mix canned diced tomatoes with canned green Beans and sprinkle a little bit of grated parmesan on them. It's almost as good as Italian food without any of the Pasta and very low in calories. If you want to be adventurous try the different single serve frozen vegetables that green giant has. Some of them are yummy!

Best wishes to you.

Sue

I second the frozen veggies dishes- they are tasty and on sale a lot. . Raw peppers are also good- try the red and orange and yellows for sweeter flavors.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
