RaSCal 0 Posted June 18, 2010 I'm also a new dad to a 7 month old baby boy that needs me to stick around. Nervous but ready for the life change. My wife had bypass surgery about six years ago, so I have an idea of what I am getting into but I still found that I gained a lot of knowlege by reading the posts on this forum. pollywogg 17 Posted June 18, 2010 I started the pre-op yesterday. I'm getting banded on July 8th! I was very very nervous about the pre-op but I think I'm going to do just fine. Best of luck to you. Nice you have your wife as a great support!
aprilalison 5 Posted June 18, 2010 I start Pre-Op tomorrow... getting banded on July 29th. Good luck to you both! Can I ask - what do your Pre-Op diets consist of? Mine is an Opti-Fast program with food I had to get from their pharmacy - all shakes and powdered Soups and Protein Bars. 800-900 calories a day total. $150 for 10 days. Is yours similar? ebtkm5 0 Posted June 18, 2010 As long as everything works out like I have planned my surgery should be at the end of July. This is the first I have ever heard of a pre-op diet. Is this just something they will tell me once my insurance has approved the surgery and I have a date? Does everyone go on a pre-op diet before having lap band surgery??
