I don’t know what going on. I have been stuck going from 194-198 for a month and a half. I have been great on my diet eating around 1400 calories a day (what the doctor told me) and exercising 5-6 times a week 30-40mins each time. My fills are great and I can feel the restriction. I'm just sick of eating right and exercising and nothing happening. What should I do?

I get the impression you are bored. I would try changing up your excersise routine (wow 5-6 times a week is fantastic) and change up the food your eating. You may be in a rut- getting out of it may increase your motivation. Also, keep in mind why you got the band. Probably to be healthier as well as look and feel 100% better. Also, be aware of weighing yourself too frequently. I really think that adds to peoples discouragement. Keep up the good work- you will see that damn scale move. Focus on other things besides the scale- are your close looser? Have you lost inches? Keep us posted, and good luck.

Hang in there! I know from previous diets that our bodies hit plateaus and it seems like nothing we do changes the outcome. BUT give it time and like vlp posted, try to change things up if for no other reason than to make things more interesting for yourself.

You will start losing again if you hang in there. Let your body catch up!

Smile whether you feel like it or not. I don't know why that works for me but it does lift my spirits.

Good luck, keep us posted!

Sometimes, calorie cycle-ing works. Do more calories on one day and less on the next. Just enough to shake up what your body is used to. Only do it for a week or so, but it has worked for me before to bust a plateau.

1400 calories a day may be too much for you especially as you have already lost weight. As we lose we need less calories to maintain than previously so in order to keep losing calories need to be cut further. So I would suggest either eating less or doing some kind of higher intensity exercise that will burn more calories .

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
