bluezfan01 0 Posted June 16, 2010 Has anyone had diarrhea since getting banded? I was banded 6-10 and have had nothing but diarrhea (liquid) since surgery. Should I be worried?
illuminationlady 7 Posted June 16, 2010 At first I was constipated from the narcotics. When I stopped taking those I got diarrhea that lasted for a while. It's normal from what I've read here on this forum. Best wishes and a speedy recovery!
NewYearNewMe2010 0 Posted June 16, 2010 The same thing happened to me. It took a few weeks to get back to "normal". Don't worry - it will get better!

shilohgirl 0 Posted June 16, 2010 I was banded on 6-7 and had awful diarrhea and gas. It is getting better. I think it is just because we aren't eating anything with much consistency, therefore it will be liquid. My doctor said I could take some Pepto if I needed to. Hopefully the more solid type food added it will get better!
bluezfan01 0 Posted June 16, 2010 Thanks everyone... Doesnt sound like I have anything to worry about. I did scare myself yesterday, took my nephew out to the splash park, didnt get wet but played a little, guess I got too much sun. Ran a low grade fever for a few hours, took a cool shower and was better. I guess I really am a newbie...LOL my friend teased that that was something she knew because she had had surgery before. Rummy 0 Posted June 16, 2010 It is quite normal because all you are taking in is liquids. It will return to normal when your diet changes... then you have to deal with not going as often as you did prior to surgery.
