Could there be a problem?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I was banded back in December of 2009 and have had great success; down almost 75 pounds. However the past couple of weeks I have started to have some problems with some stomach pain. I thought I may be too tight with my fill (even though I was filled 4 weeks before the pain started) so my doctor removed 1.5cc's. However I was still having the pain; everytime I ate something, it went down fine but then came the pain. It felt like someone was squeezing my stomach. Other than that, I feel fine, it is just when I eat...and sometimes drink. I went back to the doctor and he said he thought I could be irritated or having spasms so he completely drained me. This was on Friday and I think I am getting better, but still have slight pain. Could I just be irritated or do you think the band could have slipped?

Any sight, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks! :(

Not sure but have you and your doctor considered your gall bladder if you still have it?

I agree, if you still have your gall bladder, I would have them check it. =)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
