Okay, I have seen others mention the "slime" effect. In the morning I have the hardest time getting anything down. I have to go spit up usually about 2 times while trying to get things such as yogurt down and all it is is what I call "slime". Once I get that up I am able to get down what I am eating.

Any reason what that is from? It's not just Breakfast, it's when I eat any meal.

This didn't start until I got my 2nd fill on 5/27.... I am at 4.1 now.

Thanks for any comments!

For me after I reached good restriction breakfast became non-existant. Many bansters have trouble in the morning. Morning is when I drink Protein Shakes. As far as other times of day, you may be eating too fast or taking to large bites or just eating stuff that you can not tolerate at this stage. Keep bites very tiny (pea size) to get yourself trained. Put the fork/spoon down between bites to slow yourself down. Things do get better with time after a good fill.

I find that if I eat solid food in the morning I am ravenous all day long and I either overeat or am miserable the whole day. Don't ask me why but it happens every time. I need to wait several hours before I eat. My fill dr said that I should drink a Protein Shake in the mornings to wake up my metabolism. I have been doing that since my fill last Wednesday and have lost a pound a day since then. I know it won't last like this but it is great right now!

It all depends...on the things mentioned above, such as your eating habits or you could be to tight. If I couldn't eat at all I would rethink getting a little tiny unfill. I am not hungry in the morning but I force myself to have some form of Protein, such as eggbeaters. I have to eat very slowly and carefully but this sustains me for many hours. lunch is practically nonexistent for me. For dinner I split a chicken breast, yam and some veggies with my husband. Again, all very slowly and carefully or else I end up in the bathroom Pbing and sliming. My point is that yes, I am tight, and have restriction, but I can eat. And you should be able to also. Hope this helps! Best wishes! ps. I can guzzle Water just fine.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
