Hi Everyone,

I am considering going to Mexico for the LAP-BAND® procedure and was would like to know if anyone knows anything, good or bad, about Dr. Arturo Rodriguez in Monterrey? I stumbled across a sub forum for people banded in Mexico, but I couldn't figure out how to post a new thread there. And there was no mention of this doctor at all there. Anyone here heard of him or have a recommendation for a Dr. in Mexico? Thanks!

I don't know anything about Dr. Arturo Rodriguez in Monterrey, but my girlfriend and her 2 sisters were banded in Mexico several years ago and they were very satisfied. They have all lost their weight and kept it off for about 6 yrs now. Seems like Ortiz was their Dr's name. They said there were people from all over the world there getting it done. And that it was the cleanest facility they had ever seen. And very nice staff.

      The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

        Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
