I love the Olive Garden!

I have noticed that for me, it actually works best to eat out versus eating at home and grazing. I have been the the "OG" 3 times since I moved into mushie food.

For me, I have a tendancy of getting clogged after the first few bites of food, so wherever I go, I get a Soup... take a few bites, do some conversation with a friend...and go back when it passes. I usually get the chicken gnocchi...and dont eat the bread balls...but dip a breadstick in the Soup. I get my fullness quickly.

I also order another cup -cause they are unlimited- and take it home for another meal! Works out!!

I was wondering what you can have when you go out to eat after surgery? Will I ever be able to eat at the Olive Garden again?

About a month after surgery, I went there and ordered chicken and gnocci Soup. I was afraid to eat the dumplings inside of it but I ate the meat pieces and creamy soup part. OG was my favorite restaurant but after that one trip, I realized that it is not the place for me anymore. Too much temptation.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
