Can you belive the diffrence in them. I taped it for I hope it will inspire when I get lazy.I want one of those cut out pictures so I can see how fat I was before.

Stand it in front of the fridge.Would not look nice there but maybe it would help keep me out of it.

I know I saw it - don't they all look fabulous! I was just thinking if I'd get my head out of my ass and work like they did then I probably wouldn't need PS when I'm done. I want one of those cutouts too !

Fridge box, or colored paper, and overhead is all you need. Trace a picture of yourself, put the image on the overhead (to your height level) and then paint it up. No need to be detailed, I don't imagine, just have the measurements right. A silhouette would be fine for me!

Really, for me, I plan to never look back. I try not to look at the size 10 pictures of myself at 17, so why would I look at the size 26 pics of me at 32? I am just looking ahead to the size 14 (goal) me in the future...

Who's rooting for Suzy? I sure am... I think all three of the finalist are amazing, but Suzy's the one! (I have to confess, I'm friends with her in real life, but still... she's kicking ass!)

Go Suzy! :)

Not to be negatitve, but if my full time job was to exercise and diet, it might have been a whole lot easier to jump start a weight loss and life change. They have all done wonderful and it definitely is not just becuase they were on the show, they all wanted to change and have made it happen.

I am rooting for suzy too, and watching the promos for the finale, it seems that even though they blur the image of the "winner", I have seen clearly female legs in high heels. Hmmmmm....

I'm rooting for Suzy too, but really I think it will be Matt who wins - he just has had this extra driven determination through out the whole show, I just have a hunch.

And yes if I didn't have a full time job and a family life and the money & access to a personal trainer I too could do what they have. I was going to apply but there is no way I could have taken off from work and let the bills pile up. It is a wonderful opportunity they each were blessed with and they all made the most of it - kudos for them! I want to know what happened to that big black guy MO last season - anyone heard how he was doing?

I noticed that too! Of course, I want Suzy to win as well. She's so cute! Our luck, they showed us that little clip and it has nothing to do with the winner. Argh...but, we'll soon find out.

I agree with you all about the 24/7 dieting and exercising they do on the show and it not being "realistic"... however, the reason we don't know who the winner is yet, is because the last three have been at home in their "real life" situation, as the final test to see who wins. Meaning, who will win because they were able to maintain or lose while living their real lives again... Just wanted to put that out there so we aren't all focuse on how "easy" it must be living on the ranch and doing nothing but eat right and exercise. The true test has been the last three months these people have spent at home with their normal stress, anxiety, work, family, whatever... I still say, Go Suzy! :)

Candysmooch,

I just went to the website and Mo hasn't updated his results in a while. You can check here http://www.nbc.com/The_Biggest_Loser/contestants/wherearetheynow/mo.shtml

I thought I heard that some of season one's contestants will be on the finale this week. I hope to see MO, he was my favorite from season one.

My favorite from season two is Dr. Jeff. I broke my heart when the voted him off. But he is doing great and I am looking forward to seeing him at the Finale this week. Matt drives me crazy crying all the time! That boy needs an antidepressant. Yes he looks great so far, but stop crying on every show! Seth and Suzy have done great jobs but I lost interest when Dr Jeff was voted off.

Good luck to all of them!! And may the biggest loser win!!!

Sometimes reading the posts here make me wonder if some people just weren't mentally ready for WLS and needed more time with the bariatric team psychiatrist. Complaining about the limited drink/food choices early on... blah..blah...blah. The living to eat mentality really needs to go and be replaced with eating to live. JS

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

That sounds awesome. I'll have to check that out thanks!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.
