shibalover 0 Posted June 10, 2010 I need some guidance. I'm on week 1 of my pureed diet. My nutritionist told me to continue with 2 shakes a day and then include 3-4 ounces of pureed foods at other meals. I haven't been filled yet. I have found I can eat more than 3-4 ounces and I'm worried that if I do, which I have from time to time, that I will stretch my stomach pouch. I had too much to eat for lunch today and feel full with a little tightness going up into my chest-- I won't eat that much again. Please let me know your experiences. Can I stretch my pouch on more than 3-4 ounces?
LarraineM 6 Posted June 10, 2010 Stick with what you have been told my Dr still quizes me about sticking with a 4 oz serveings I am 8 months out. So yes it is important !
MarilynJ6354 5 Posted June 10, 2010 Please do not overeat. I am 4 months out and I still make that mistake occasionally, or don't chew enough, and yikes does it hurt, plus it's messy. GO SLOW!
tnwhite2001 2 Posted June 11, 2010 My dietitian said that if I'm feeling hungry to increase to 4 meals a day at 4 ounces each instead of increasing how much I eat at each meal. This is because the pouch can stretch, which is really counterproductive to the whole point of the band. I'm new, so I don't have much experience, but that's what they say. MarilynJ6354 5 Posted June 11, 2010 Yep, that's what my nutritionist also said. Even if I wait to finish a meal two hours later, it's better than pushing it and paying dearly for it!
